Favorite Moments:

–Tuesday I got to hear baby girl’s heart beat just beating away at my doctor appointment. And I had my first appointment in a long time where I wasn’t drained of blood and pricked with needles, so that was exciting! She told me not to get too excited though because my next appointment in two weeks involves a flu shot. Ugh! I have never had one in my life but since I am having a baby in the middle of flu season who will have zero immunizes I will take one for the team. Needles are the least of my worries these days I suppose.

–Wednesday night Laura, Morgan and I met up at Skycastle for a girls night! We shared a delicious appetizer and I ordered a burger because….do you know me at all?? The food was wonderful and the company was even better. A girls night is good for the soul!

–This guy and his need to sit in a tray like a cat.

I said to him, “Mac you look ridiculous watching TV in the ottoman tray!!!” This is the look he turned around to give me….

Favorite Recipe:How delicious does this pineapple fried rice look??? Great for a meatless Monday and get your protein with the eggs and cashews.

Favorite Beauty Purchases: This pregnancy skin business is a tricky one you guys. One moment my skin is oily AF and the next minute it is dry and no matter what it is always broken out everywhere. The only pregnancy glow I am getting is from all the sweating in this 90+ degree weather as I waddle around in my maternity dresses with an extra 20 pounds up front. Woof. I had to do something for my skin. My face literally hurt. Because I am trying to stay as natural as I can and avoid bad for baby chemicals and stuff…I decided to turn to Caudalie. Since I can’t drink wine, the least I can do is spread it around on my face right? (It’s not actual wine, ok.)

I picked up the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. I really like how soft this makes my skin feel! It gives me enough moisturizer, but it still sinks in to my skin and just leaves everything so soft! Plus, it smells wonderful! And who doesn’t love pretty pink packaging?

I also picked up the Caudalie Grape Water. For the price, you get a lot and I really like how it is working for my skin too! I am using it as a toner in between my face wash and moisturizer.

I have changed my skin care up a couple of times during this pregnancy and I am hope this is the last change until after she is here. I feel like these products are working together with my face wash and spot treatment for the better now though and I am happy. At least my face doesn’t hurt anymore and it feels soft again!

Favorite Gadget:Chris picked up a rose gold 128gb iPhone 7 Plus for me on Wednesday!!! How sweet is he??? He even brought it to my office for me and  helped me get the phone set up going. He really is the best 🙂 I am loving the new phone!!! Everything seems so fast, I like the feel of the new home button, and I am excited to play with the new camera.

Hey there, Friday!!! I am excited for some nursery painting and football this weekend! There are going to be a lot of good games on Saturday and Chris is bringing two extra TV’s in to our living room so we can catch them all. SEC is hardcore you guys. I suppose that is as long as he still isn’t inline for his iPhone 7. Time will tell. #techlife

Favorite Moments:

–Last night I met up with a friend for an Edolyn’s Pie tasting for a new local company in Birmingham. Let’s be honest, I have never met a pie I didn’t like. These were no exception! I got to try the Lemon Chess, Pecan and Sweet Potato. I loved all three of them for different reasons, though I suppose the pecan was my favorite since I came home with it. Maybe I ate that pecan pie for breakfast this morning, what’s it to you?

Those of my friends in New Jersey, I believe you can get these pies as well. Last night we got to hear the story of how the company started as a southern soul food restaurant in Jersey in the 80’s and while the restaurant didn’t thrive, people kept coming just for the pies so they started selling pies out of their basement and now they have a huge commercial kitchen up there with the same recipe. The daughter of the owners came to Birmingham to spread the pie love here.

–For Treat Yo’Self Tuesday I switched up my Starbucks run with a Nordstrom Rack  browsing and an Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen. No regrets! Look at this cute little dress I scored on clearance while I was there. Someone is going to be styling come spring!!!

Favorite Mac Scenes: This little guy knows we are getting closer to some changes around here. Normally he comes and lies on me at night while we are watching TV, but lately he has been laying with Chris’s pillow. Like he knows that he needs to make sure they are on good terms because I am going to be pre-occupied with baby soon. He has also been bopping his little nose in to my tummy a lot like he wants to say hi. The other day I asked him where she was and he went running to her room, so at least he knows where she will be staying.

Favorite Recipe: This Sesame Bourbon Chicken recipe looks so good!

Favorite Lust: You guys!!! YOU GUYS!!!! Michael Kors has come out with a smartwatch!!! I know, I am totally excited too! Look at this beauty. LOOK AT IT! I am so glad I never got the Apple Watch because I want this!!! You can change it’s face to different colors and looks and the bands are swap-able. Clearly a need, right?

–On Tuesday, I met up with a friend for lunch at Shiki. It was so nice to just chit chat and not worry about the fact that it was Tuesday. Not to mention that their Masaman chicken is just the best!!! And coconut tofu soup. Always the soup.

–Yesterday, Chris’s company had a baby shower for him and he brought home so much stuff!!! I felt so overwhelmed and blessed going through it all last night. One of the things that they got was this book, Oh Baby! The Place You’ll Go. It is the sweetest book. I read it out loud this morning when I was sitting in her room surrounded by all the things and she started kicking around in there. I know she can hear me, it was seriously the coolest thing!!! This was the picture he sent me yesterday after the shower…

Favorite Recipe:Like seriously, how amazing does this look??? And caramel? Stop it!!!

Favorite Snack: I have had the Terra chips before and they were good. I think I have had the mixed bag of like beets and carrots and the Mediterranean ones. For some reason, I picked up a bag of the sea salt sweet potato ones three weeks ago and I cant stop with these! They are soooooo good.

Favorite Lust:I really love these 574 Sneakers in the color Lush. Like how cute and cozy are these for fall/winter???

And I am thinking that this top would be great to hide under until I can get my body back in shape after baby. I really love the Lush brand from Nordstrom, they have some great and affordable pieces. It comes in some seriously gorgeous colors I am thinking the one below and Fig would be just right for me!
