Favorite Moments:

Laura and I went to Rowe’s Service Station in Avondale for lunch yesterday. The weather was truly amazing and we enjoyed the patio to ourselves most of the time we were there. This patty melt? Awesome.

Favorite Workout: Get those arms in shape for summer ladies! Here are the 12 best moves to blast arm fat.

Quick but intense workout that hits your shoulders, biceps and triceps.:

Favorite TV Show: I discovered a new Netflix show that I am really enjoying, Grace and Frankie! Here is the trailer…

Favorite Find: Target was offering 10% off their Pacifica products with Cartwheel. You guys, these things smell like a summer day on my face. Oh, they also remove make up and don’t leave me all red and dry which is a plus. And how cute is this packaging? I got the Coco Pure but there are a few other kinds/scents that as well. They average $6.99 for 30 wipes. These are Phthalate-free, labeled paraben-free, sodium lauryl sulfate-free, 100% vegan, and cruelty-free. That stuff is important to me more and more these days. I will say that they are heavily scented, so if scents aren’t your thing you might want to pass.

I also grabbed the EOS Delicate Petals lotion at Walgreens yesterday. It is also Paraben free. I like that it absorbs quickly and has a soft, feminine scent.

Favorite Lust: I found a new to me YouTuber that I really like and have been binging all her videos. Anyways, in one of her more recent ones she is wearing a limited edition pot liner from Tarte and the look is so so so so pretty! I have got to order this before it is gone forever. Tarte Clay Pot Liner in Fairy Wings. How gorgeous is that color???

Favorite Song: I Could Be Stronger (But Only For You) by Gareth Emery. Nice and chill.

Favorite Moment: Girl’s night was much needed last night. We met up for Babalu for Cinco de Mayo because the day was meant to be celebrated with guac, am I right?! I couldn’t resist ordering the enchiladas of the day. Yes, they are sitting in jalapeno cheese sauce. You’re welcome.

Favorite Recipe: Now that we have a grill, I am ready to get to grilling some veggies and other fun things! And by me I mean Chris 🙂 How awesome does this look?!?!

Grilled Barbecue Chicken and Vegetables in Foil - Tender, flavorful chicken covered in sweet barbecue sauce and cooked on the grill inside foil packs with zucchini, bell peppers and asparagus.:

Favorite Beauty Product: After trying many many foundations at Sephora, I stumbled upon the Stila Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector. I had actually really wanted to try the Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation and we found a color (fair) that was gorgeous on me….but the foundation was way too luminous and wasn’t soaking into my skin at all. I wasn’t too crazy to try a powder, as I was concerned about coverage. Right now my skin is a disaster and I need medium to full coverage. You guys…this stuff is pretty damn amazing and I am so impressed with how perfect the shade is for me and how much coverage this little compact delivers! The only thing I don’t love is the $39 price tag for less than an ounce of foundation. But I feel like a lot of foundations have gotten more expensive over the last year or so and what can you do when it is one of the only things that will work? I save money on drugstore mascara so its worth it to me! I really like that I can throw this in my purse and easily touch up throughout the day. I am still on the lookout for a new good liquid foundation, but I have found my holy grail powder.

Favorite Lust: I need some new make up brushes, bad. I was thinking maybe these

Or perhaps these….

What are you favorite kind of brushes to get? Normally I just pick them up at TJ Max but I have a few that need replacing and it may be cheaper to do a set.

Favorite Song: I love Nelly you guys. I really, really do. But I prefer Thomas Rhett’s version of Die a Happy Man. His voice. Just yes.

Favorite Moments:

–I have been freezing in my office the last few weeks so Chris ordered me a space heater for my cube. It has been delightful being able to dress like the 80 degree outside weather we have been having.

–The Friday Lunch Club actually met yesterday. We were all craving Babalu. Who doesn’t crave delicious table side guac?? I normally go for the enchilada of the day, but I decided to do the grilled chicken satay instead. It was delicious! I ate every last bite. Obviously.

Favorite Product: I grabbed a bottle of this alba BOTANICA Very Emollient shower gel in the Honey Mango scent and you guys….it smells amazing!!! I got it at Target. It was where the cosmetics are, not the shower gel. Other than the fact that it smells intoxicating, I loved that it is Phthalate-free, artificial color-free, labeled paraben-free, sodium lauryl sulfate-free…you know all that crap that is hard to avoid these days. Plus the pump is real nice for my lazy self at 5:45am when I am done with my work out and fumbling in the shower pre-caffeine.

Now that I know I love this, I want to try the shampoo and conditioner!!! They are not tested on animals, which I super appreciate.

Spring Has Sprung

Spring is in the air!!!  The high here in Birmingham today is 82, the trees are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and the damn mosquitoes are the size of pterodactyls already!

There is something rejuvenating about the first few weeks of spring. The warm sun feels so good on your vampire pale skin. You start planning your meals around who has the best patio spot in town. You whip out your flip flops and swear you will never go back to regular shoes again. And you double fist Cadbury mini eggs and Clariton D like it’s your job.

I have been loving looking through all the magazines and catalogs at the spring clothes. I thought I would share a few of my favorite items for spring!!!

Row 1

Stripe Shirt/NARS Lipstick/ Shadow/ Vans

Row 2

Dress/ Wedges/Purse/ Jeans

Row 3

Shell/ Flip FlopsColor Block Top/Off Shoulder Swing Dress

I really like to mix up my items. I won’t pay top dollar for just anything. I think it is good to have a balance of a few designer pieces that are timeless and you will have season after season, and then throw in a few inexpensive “trendier” pieces that you like right now but maybe you won’t care so much about it in a year or two.

What are you favorite things this spring?
