I am hoping that March takes it’s business with her when she leaves. I feel like I am a sinking ship lately. The house is a mess, I am literally behind on all the things, and every time I cross one thing off at work, two more drop in it’s place. Also, allergies. If you dont know what the entire state looks like covered in pollen, take a trip down south in the spring. I have been living down here for 20 years now, and I am still shocked every spring when everything has a yellow/green coating of nasty on it for two months straight. There isn’t enough Clariton or nasal spray in the world to make you feel better. And that sentence made me realize something. It really has been 20 years since we moved to the south. Do you know how old that sounds that I can say, oh it’s been 20 years since….and I am not talking about being in elementary school?! LOL.
Anyways, you guys it is Easter weekend! The schools here have been on spring break this week. I can FINALLY pull out my sandals and flip flops and start wearing them on Sunday. I try to wait until Easter to deem them appropriate for work. Zoe’s daycare is closed today and my office closes at 2pm, so I am going to work from home this morning. My sister is supposed to come over for a bit today, and I am supposed to see my mom tomorrow for a little while. Haven’t seen her since Christmas! We spend Easter with Chris’s family, so we will be over there Sunday. What do you have planned?
Favorite Moments: I ate at Farm Bowl TWICE this week. Those acai bowls are addicting and they make it so easy to just drop in and take one to go if you have errands to run.
Zoe’s daycare was closed yesterday too, so I worked from home and we had some craft time before her nap. She is so much fun at this age!!! We did some painting, and colored in a book. She has this fun game where I lay on the couch and she “sneaks up” behind me and I look all surprised that she is there. She laughs and laughs so hard and loud that she snorts and then I laugh too. She can play that game for like 10 minutes straight. She has started giving kisses and they are the sweetest little kisses ever. And she learned the word “uh oh” and basically repeated in the car the entire way home the other night. (Our drive is about 35 minutes from daycare to the house in the evenings, mind you.) It was the cutest thing and I would repeat her and we would both laugh.
She received her first Scholastic books on Monday!!! They had a book fair at her school a few weeks ago and I was so darn excited about it! Was it not your favorite day of the school year??? I think my favorite book from the stack is Shoe-La-La. It is so cute! I put them all aside to put in her Easter basket, so I cant wait til we start reading these. But of course, I read them all before I put them up because book nerd over here!
Favorite Recipe: This Thai rice bowl sounds fabulous.
Favorite Purchase: Target has their t’s on sale for $5. Normally I would think, there is a reason they are $5. But no, seriously. I ordered a red and a white pocket v-neck with my Target card and it was less than $10 and they are amazing!!! It has been a long time since I have worn a plain tshirt. Normally they fit like garbage and I don’t feel comfortable. There is something about the material and the cut of these that rivals some of the $30 and $40 ones you can find at Nordstrom. Thanks Lindsay for talking me in to them!

Linking up with Amanda. Happy Easter!!!
