Favorite Song: I heard this song the other day and I was like OMG I LOVE THIS SONNNNGGGGG. Good by Better than Ezra. Good indeed.

Favorite Moments:

–My favorite moment ever is finding out that our little Jelly Bean is A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And now I can stop referring to my baby as “the baby” or “it” and start calling her by her name. Which I don’t plan to share until after she arrives.

–Getting this text from my sister, who was just a little excited to find out she is going to have a niece.

–All of your super sweet comments to my announcement! I can’t believe I managed to go 19 weeks blogging without sharing the biggest thing going on in my life.

Favorite Recipe: A coworker ate a cookie in front of me at lunch this week and that was all I can think about. Totally whipped out my peanut butter cookie recipe and baked cookies at 6:00am one morning before work because cravings!!!!

Favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Lusts: Luckily I am not tempted to buy any clothes for me seeing as how I don’t know when I will be fitting into my old ones soooooo that’s good. Unfortunately, Nordstrom has everything else I like too! Here are a few things I have my eyes on.

I have been lusting after the Kate Spade stud earrings for about two years now and have never pulled the trigger. I finally pulled the trigger on the rose gold pair. I really want the navy and black ones too but one pair at a time, right?

Favorite Song: Feeling a little nostalgic this Friday with the hot summer heat letting us know it is here to stay. When I think of summer music, I often think of the songs that were popular when I was in high school/college. Driving around in my bright red jeep with the windows down and not a care in the world. Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Sum 41….you get the picture. Let’s take it back today with some Sum 41!

Favorite Recipe: I shared my Chicken Black Bean Enchilada recipe on Wednesday. Still loving  it. Obviously!

Favorite Moments:

–Well, my un-favorite moment of the week was when I hopped in my car to leave for work on Tuesday and it wouldn’t start. But my favorite moment was my sister coming to my rescue with her jumper cables. We had to put my car in neutral and push it out of the garage. There may have been a few sparks when the jumper cables accidentally touched and lots of laughter between us for our shenanigans….but she did it! My car started right back up and she followed me to O’Reilly’s for a new battery. I took her out to lunch for steak sandwiches and cheese fries afterwards. I have the best sister. The best.

Favorite Lust: I need a pair of cute flat sandals. I love my wedges, but my legs are far too long to sit under my desk comfortably with them all day. I have my eyes on these in metallic and leopard.

—Audrey’s post on Looking for Hope really spoke to me, and because she had the comments off I couldn’t tell her that. I feel the same way about a lot of things she said. And in the wake of any tragedy when you see people coming together to give blood to complete strangers, or offering assistance or prayer….it reminds me that there is still some humanity left in this crazy messed up world.

–I just adored Father of the Bride. Well, the house is for sale!!! Who doesn’t want to slide down that banister? Or play basketball out back? Or blow-dry frozen flowerbeds?

Favorite Moments:

–This week my favorite moment was having Monday off. Hahaha! Why can’t every weekend be a three day weekend?

–I had to go to Home Depot to pick up some supplies to fix our fence and the guy that I asked for help didn’t treat me like an idiot. That was really nice. Most of the time I feel like I get talked down to when I ask questions in those type of stores. Like why didn’t my husband come instead of me. I am fully capable, thanks. Same goes for car repair places. I don’t have sucker written on my face.

Favorite Recipe: With the hot weather here, all I really want is cold fruit and salads. I whipped my fruit dip recipe back out and it will be on repeat from now through football season! Don’t mind the fancy cool whip dish. Why dirty bowls when you don’t have to!?
