Favorite Pin:I love how cozy this bedroom looks! I have been planning ways to incorporate plants throughout our home, and I love how they have a special table for one. We totally have the space to do that in our room near a window!
Favorite Song: Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi. I freaking love this song! Probably on my list of top 10 songs that make me happy. And what better than to listen to a happy song on a Friday, am I right???
Favorite Snack: I grabbed these Honey Chipotle Cashews when I was at Publix last weekend and they are freaking delicious!!! They pack a some sweetness with the honey and a little heat from the chipotle that sneaks up on you. I will be buying these again for sure!!
Favorite Recipe:Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Guacamole Chicken – What about this does not sound appealing, am I right??? You have your bacon, you have your guac, you can make yourself feel better with the chicken….um yes please! I will have to try it soon!

Favorite Memory: Five years ago today, after I spent my last day working for an amazing company…I packed up my car and Gracie and I moved to Birmingham. If you would have asked me 10 years ago where I would end up settling down, Birmingham wouldn’t have even been on the radar and yet, here I am. I took a leap of faith. Chris and I had the chance to stay in Atlanta or move to Nashville but we chose Birmingham to stay close to his family. I can’t believe it has been five years! Five wonderful years. This was the blurry picture I snapped of my last view of the Atlanta skyline as a resident of the Peachtree State.

Favorite Beauty Find: Last week, Sephora sent out an email to VIB members with some “early access” items. I happened to scroll through and saw this Tarte Energy Noir Clay palette and realized that I just had to have it. HAD TO. Luckily I had a $25 Sephora gift card so I bought that thing before I could think twice about it. Look how gorgeous these colors are!!!!

I am just in love with all these colors, they are so perfect! This is my first time using tarte eye shadow and blush, and I am loving them! I figured I would, tarte has one of my favorite mascaras! It is available for VIB Sephora members or you can order it off QVC. I don’t think it hits all stores until this fall.

Favorite Song: At the beach, we listened to mostly country music by the pool since it is more family friendly. Take Your Time by Sam Hunt played several times and reminds me of the beach now!
Favorite Snacks: My mom was in PA visiting family while I was at the beach. She was kind enough to bring my sister and I back some of our favorite foods that cannot be found down south! Luckily, Chris enjoys all of these things as well so I won’t be consuming them all by myself. They aren’t exactly clean or diet friendly…but YOLO. Snyder of Berlin BBQ chips, Dellalo’s Pepperoni Cheese and Smiley Cookies from Eat ‘n Park. It’s the little things in life, you guys. Or in my Pittsburgh accent, yunz!
Favorite Delivery: My sister met up with me Monday morning to give me my aforementioned “northern food” and some fresh veggies from her garden! Look how big her squash and zucchini are! And those blueberries? Damn those berries are SO GOOD!
She also brought me a jar of pickled banana peppers and pickled jalapenos. I need her to teach me her ways!!! This has to be in my genes, right?
Favorite Workout: This would be a great work out to squeeze in with whatever you are currently doing to get those arms tank top ready!
Favorite Lunch: While I was grocery shopping on Monday, I decided to grab a small Greek salad and Brown Rice Veggie Tempura Sushi from Publix. Yum!!!!! Have you ever had Publix sushi before? I was skeptical for far too long, obviously.
Favorite Shampoo: I wanted to try a natural shampoo and while I was walking around Target I stumbled upon gud! This is a Burt’s Bees brand and it was on sale for under $6 this week! This smells amazing!!! Pear and acai berry goes well together. Pearanormal Activity – who doesn’t love a play on words, am I right?? Not only does this smell amazing, my hair felt super clean after using it.
Favorite Beauty Find: Also on sale this week at Target were the Fast Fix items from Alba Botanica. They were on sale for $4.49 PLUS Cartwheel had a coupon as well, so these rang up $4.04 each! One is for puffy eyes and the other is for pimple spot treatment. The puffy eyes worked instantly for me. I really like it! The spot treatment was tinted which I liked. It isn’t a perfect tint for me, but I don’t care because it is under my make up so you can’t tell. It seems to be drying out my trouble areas. It has only been a few days…but for $4….me likey.

Favorite Color Scheme: I have been wearing lots of navy and white. These two outfits were from work this week.
Favorite Outing: Laura, B, Adrienne and I decided to hit up Mojo’s Pub & Grill last night! My cheat meal for the week for sure. You guys, this is the closest to a legit cheese steak that you are going to find in the south! The atmosphere was a little bit more bar-y than we thought it was going to be, but the food was great and the staff was super friendly. They are located in Lakeview near Jack Brown’s in the old Cafe Paris space for you locals.
How I felt about that steak sandwich…
Favorite Purchase: Last weekend on our girl’s trip to Target, I stumbled upon some Peanut’s beach stuff! Since Chris and I are beach bound in the near future, I decided to scoop up the last two of these little gems to surprise him when I got home. We are big Snoopy fans around here, and at $6.99 each…they were a no brainer.
Favorite App: Nike Training app!! Thanks to Kathy, I have been doing several of these work outs and they are great! Tons of workouts at your finger tips for free? Yes, please!
Favorite Links: Jackie shared this link in her post about how technology has changed the way that kids are growing up now compared to when we were younger. It was really interesting, and spot on!
Also, I found this link about the best and worst sunscreens. It was very interesting to see all the brands I have used for years on the worst list and is making me second guess my choices. Goes to show that you can trust package labels and marketing in the least bit.
