And just like that, the middle of June was here and gone! We couldn’t seem to let it pass without being busy. Here’s what I got up to!
Friday for lunch Laura and I hit up one of our favorite spots, Shiki. We started off with crab angels. Because duh, crab angels!!! I had the coconut soup and massaman chicken for my meal. Delicious!!!!! This place seriously has the best crab angels around and everything is always so tasty with friendly service.
Chris grilled out some delicious burgers for dinner on Friday evening and I made some veggies to go with them. He has become quite the grill master!
Saturday morning we were up and out the door early for…..car shopping!!! I had seen an awesome deal on the car I had in mind so we started off at Carmax right after they opened. Wouldn’t you know someone was having my car transferred to them. Boo!!! That’s what I get for not calling and holding when I saw it. We walked out of there with disappoint but hope that there would be something down the road. We had stopped at several other dealerships and they either didn’t have anything we liked, or wouldn’t work with us at all on pricing/trade-in. We had two people try to talk us into a bigger payment, but we knew not to play their games. We were about to give up and had lunch at J. Alexander’s.
While we were there, I kept thinking about a car I had seen online that was located in Hartselle. A pretty far drive from where we were. But I just kept thinking about it…something telling me we needed to go check this place out.
I called up there to make sure it was still there based on our previous luck of the day. Wouldn’t you know someone had it out on a test drive and ended up purchasing it?! WTF? But the guy said he had another one that was a little nicer and maybe he could work with us on the price. So off we went! This place was family owned and everyone was super nice and I walked out of there with a shiny new beauty that I felt good about.
Peace out Nissan Rogue, helloooooooooo Ford Explorer!!! This baby is fully loaded and has the 20 inch wheels. Nadine likey very much!
Sunday morning I was up and out there door at 7:30am to go meet my sister and dad for breakfast at Cracker Barrel for Father’s Day. We asked ourselves why we don’t do that more often?? It was so nice just chatting over breakfast.
I went grocery shopping on my way home and the rest of the day was spent food prepping, giving myself a pedicure, blogging and watching House of Cards.
Chris and I just started binging on it last weekend and we are already in season three. Why haven’t we watched this before???? it is so good!!!
And just like that the weekend was over and it is time to go back to work! Amazing how quickly that time goes, am I right? I hope you all have a fabulous week!
Linking up with Biana.
