–I have gotten really lazy in my meal planning. As in, we basically eat the same stuff every single week for lunch and dinner. I think I have determined that in the summers, it is just too hot to care. This is basically what my lunch looks like.
There is always water and Greek Quinoa Salad and then a piece of fruit – either apple or peach and a veggie – either celery with peanut butter or edamame. And I have literally been eating this combo 4 days a week for 2 months. I think this weekend I need to step up my game.
–Does anyone else have a room in their house that is a catch all for things that don’t have a home? Somehow we seem to have two. I really need to get my life together!!! Or purge things. Probably that last one.
–Mac got groomed while we were at the beach and I still cant get over how stinking small he is under all that fur. I think he is enjoying not looking like an untamed, homeless man.
–This week in people being ridiculous — People are upset at the Trophy shirt that Target sells. People are saying that it is offensive, sexist and outdated.
If you don’t like it, then don’t buy it. While I myself will not be sporting a shirt that says trophy across my chest, who cares if someone else does? I am sure that there are some women out there who dream of being a pretty “trophy wife.” Who have aspired to stay at home and just be arm candy. That is their own damn business. Because this is America and we can dream whatever we want. A woman has a right to like that shirt just as much as a woman has a right to not like it. Why does everyone have to be so fucking judgy these days??? Isn’t it the same thing as a guy wearing a tickets to the gun show shirt? It’s just supposed to be funny. Let it go people. Stop being ridiculous about everything!!!

Personally, I like that t-shirt. I think it is funny. Would I wear it no, but I wouldn’t care if someone else did. People are way too sensitive these days.

I do the same thing with meal planning, either it’s eat the same thing every day or go completely off track and eat junk. There is no happy medium, lol! I am SO sick of people getting offended at every little thing these days, it’s absurd! I wouldn’t normally wear that shirt myself just because it’s not really my thing BUT I’m tempted to buy it and wear it just on principle! Ridiculous the things that gets people’s panties in a wad these days.

I am so so so tired of everyone complaining about EVERYTHING! When will it ever stop? It’s a shirt, who really cares? I love the ecards by the way! Especially the last one. We had a letter submitted to the County Board that said “Two whom it may concern” I mean, really? This was a 50-some year old lady, shouldn’t she know the difference between to and two?
I have been eating the same things too and I’m so bored. Glad we’re going on vacation so I can have a break from it (and let’s be honest, eat garbage for a few days). That shirt doesn’t bother me. I mean who cares? Geez. The fundraising thing got me! Like is your kid selling wine?
Sigh. More outrage over nothing. It’s a freaking shirt. If you don’t like it, don’t wear it. If you think it sends a wrong message to girls, talk to your daughter about it. There’s nothing inherently offensive about it so let’s all calm down.

I think your lunches look delicious, even if you eat the same thing every day haha! We are pretty boring with our meals in the summer too, but I’d added a couple new things in lately so that’s helped!

To each his own and if people are happy and they’re doing as they choose, I don’t have a problem with that at all. After about 6 months of doing it for breakfast every morning, I finally got tired of smoothies. It takes a long time for me to break out of a rut! I’m not surprised that people are upset about the shirt. I feel like some people are just continually on a campaign to find things to be upset about. On a more positive note for the gender war – I just found out that Delaware offers name change forms for both women AND men if you get married at the marriage license office. I was pleasantly surprised by that one.
I am SOOO bad about eating the same thing that I get burned out on it. Lately I have been only making enough to get me through Wednesday so I am forced to make something new Thursday. I kinda like the trophy t-shirt. I think it’s funny as hell!!! I want to get one for all my friend’s bdays!!!!!

People are making a controvery out of almost everything these days. Did you hear about the high school team who won’t use a cougar as their mascot anymore (because of the term “cougar” referring to older women who like younger men)? I agree with you – if someone doesn’t like the shirt, they don’t have to buy it.

I am so exhausted by everyone getting SO PISSED OFF ABOUT EVERYTHING ALWAYS. No one can do anything without people having huge, loud opinions about it. How about you just do you and I’ll do me? Does that work? Why does everything have to be so political? People will find a reason to be upset about anything. I’m over it.
I am SO unadventurous with my food lately, but like you, I can’t be bothered enough to mix it up. I’m trying to keep that oven or stove off as much as possible and ya know what, I might just have a boring palate. Oh well, there are worse things 🙂

Right now we have two rooms + three closets that are the no-home catch all. We are about to put a few things on Craigslist and go through another round of goodwill for clothes and kitchen appliances. It’s amazing how little you can live with if you make an effort!
