My four year blogiversary passed last month and I never really got around to posting about it. (October 24th) I had some thoughts in my head for the post that centered around how the blogging world has changed so much in those four years. How many bloggers I have seen come and go. Some started out at the same time as me, got huge, then burned out and never returned. Some of you are still blogging strong and are my daily reads, and others I have quit following because they got too big for the britches and don’t talk to little people like me anymore or completely sold out and their blog is nothing but one sponsored post after another.
For me, blogging has always been a place for me to come and be creative. To get my thoughts out, to socialize and make a few friends. When I opened and stared at my first blank post back in 2012, I never realized that blogging would become my number one favorite hobby. I never realized that I would meet the person whom I refer to as my best friend. Or that I would have a regular texting chat going with a group of amazing ladies!!! (What up to my ahole bros.)I never realized how much the connections I have made with you all would have meant to me!!! A LOT!
In these last four years, you guys have seen me get married, change jobs, and now we are having a baby!!!
Before I get way to sappy and sentimental here, the point of all this is…thank you to all of those reading this. I appreciate you so much! I joke around that I talk to a lot of you more than people “in my real life” and it is the honest truth. We all have a connection through this hobby of ours that is pretty damn special if you ask me!
It has come to that time of year where the holidays are knocking on the door! Thanksgiving is just a week away, crazy right??? Last year I exchanged Christmas cards with a few of you and it was so much fun getting snail mail from some of my favorite people. If I exchanged Christmas cards with you last year, you will receive one again this year for sure! If any of you would like to be added to the list, let me know in the comments and I will reply asking for your address. Who doesn’t like happy mail?? I will say, our cards are going to go out a little later than I usually do them this year because I have something special planned for them.
Cheers to you!

Happy happy four years of blogging! I’m so glad you started your blog and we were able to connect! I always look forward to reading your posts and am excited to keep following along!
Happy 4 years!!! Blogging is such an awesome thing. It’s crazy the friendships we’ve made in this little online community! Ps. send me your address for Christmas cards!!
That’s so great that you’ve been doing this for four years now! The overly sponsored blogs and links, no thanks. I love blogs like this with real honest people, that blog because they thoroughly enjoy it. I’d love to exchange Christmas cards with you this year. Happy Blog-Anniverary!
Happy Blogiversary! I’m so glad to have “met” you. I haven’t even been blogging 3 years and can’t believe how much it’s changed. Eye roll. There’s still a lot of good, especially meeting such awesome people! PS: I’d love your address!
Happy Blog-iversary, Nadine! Four years! Wow! I’m so glad I came across your blog and we’ve “met” through this hobby!
Ahhh, we’ve talked about this so many times! And one reason why we’re besties! 🙂 Real life 4 lyfe. 🙂 Happy Blogiversary!
I love the connections blogs can create… something that is so real & true.
Congrats on 4 years.
I’ve loved watching your journeys in life & cant wait to start seeing posts about that BABY!!!
This is awesome 🙂 And I agree on the sponsored posts. I don’t mind affliate links to cool things and stuff that the blogger likes and I might like too – but the obvious “I only wrote this post cause I’m being paid to write it” shit is annoying.
Congratulations on 4 years and good luck with the remaining weeks of pregnancy and then labor! Aghhhh! So Awesome (and a little scary for you I’m sure)!!!!
Happy happy anniversary!
happy blogaversary! the blogging community sure has changed but i’m glad that you stayed true to self xoxoxox
Happy Blogavasary! Hitting that year mark is such an amazing feeling! I do miss the good old blog days, but I’m happy to see you’re still keeping the memory alive <3
It’s super interesting to see how this weird world has changed! I used to blog a lot more and had fewer friends in real life. Now, the opposite is true and I find myself too busy for online time! I’m glad there are so many options now, but I’ll always be grateful for the people that the internet brought into my life!
And I’m guessing you’re doing a double duty Christmas card/birth announcement? That’s so smart and awesome it worked out that way. I mean, both are definitely worth celebrating and stamps aren’t cheap 😉
Happy blogiversary!
Happy Blogiversary!! If I do cards this year which I am planning on God help me… I would love to exchange with you!
Happy blogiversary gurlie!! So so so happy to have met you through here, and look forward to the arrival of your sweet baby girl and more awesome bloggy content <3
Wow 4 years (and almost a month) is definitely a commitment! I definitely see myself being exactly where you are as well. I love how you call blogging your favorite hobby and best friend because honestly I feel the EXACT same way. It’s so nice being able to come to a place that is yours and share your thoughts and ideas and get such wonderful feedback from other like minded people. I love it. I also cant wait to be 4 years deeps and go back to my very first blog post that’ll be awesome. I’m only a few months deep thus far so I still have a long way to go but I sure do feel the passion for it!
xo, JJ
Congrats on a great milestone! People that don’t blog don’t get the connections we make. I consider ladies like you to be my real friends, even if we don’t know each other in real life. 🙂
what up right back at you girlfran!! you ahole bros are my jam. sweaty selfies after baby Z arrives?
happy blogiversary! i’m so thankful i know you!
Happy Blogiversary! I “celebrated” four years in April and it’s so insane how much changes when you look back. One of the most amazing perks of having a blog is that it becomes a diary of sorts and you can always go back and see how much you’ve changed, evolved & grown. Wishing you many more years in the blogging game! XO
I totally agree with you that real connections can be made through blogging. And, yes, I find that I interact with bloggers more often than real life folks. In fact, it shows me that just putting forth a small amount of effort helps maintain a connection/friendship. Happy blogiversary!
Happy blogiversary!! I know what you mean about seeing a lot of bloggers come and go. I notice a lot of new moms kind of drift off when their babies come. Which I totally understand! Do you think you’ll keep blogging after baby?
I would love love LOVE a Christmas card from you! Email me your address so I can send you one, too!
