Never ever have I felt more TGIF than I do today!!! This first week of daycare has been rough on this mama. Monday morning when I dropped Zoe off, I pretty much cried in the car on the way there, sobbed in the hallway after I dropped her off….and didn’t stop until I got to work. Zoe didn’t nap her first day, and she hasn’t really been napping well all week. She comes home exhausted and she has only been there four days and already has a super stuffy nose. Dirty daycare babies. I am thankful that her teachers love on her and have been super awesome. It has made the transition a little easier. One of them literally tells her that she loves her everyday when we leave. It is the sweetest. I also like how when we walk in the building and every single person who works there knows her name and says good morning to her.
Favorite Moments: Making the most out of every second I get to spend with my baby during the week. She has been extra snuggly in the evenings and that has been awesome. Also, can we talk about how she looks so grown up in that first picture??? Stop it!!!
Laura is the bestest friend ever, and grabbed lunch with me at Soho Social Monday. She knew I was going to have a hard day since she has already been through all of this and sacrificed herself for delicious beer, sweet potato fries and gorgonzola dip…and listening to me. Thanks Laura, you are the best!!!!!
Favorite Recipe: We are getting really close to football season!!! It is time to start pinning all the apps again. I want to find a good balance of splurge and healthier options. This avocado crack dip looks so good!
Favorite Lust: I shared my birthday wish list with you guys earlier this week. So basically all of that!!! I need to find a bag for Zoe to take back and forth to daycare everyday. She is the only kid in her class who doesn’t have one. Basically it will just hold her bottles, food and snacks and her paci. And the teachers may throw in anything that needs to go home. Should I do a shoulder bag or backpack??? I cant decide!!!

Linking up with Amanda. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

I love the backpack. Sheffield has one that looks like a monster face, and we keep it there for the most part. Also, duh, you’re welcome — I’m down to do it anytime. 🙂 That girl replacing pictures of her with her dog is the best. Too funy
Aww hoping you have the best weekend cuddling up to your sweet girl. I cant imagine how stressful leaving her must be.
That avocado dip looks divine!!
I’m sorry that daycare has been rough for you this week! One of my co-workers cried after she dropped her kids off for the first three months – I felt so terrible for her, but NOW she’s totally fine 🙂 Hope you have the best weekend girl with lots of Zoe snuggles! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Ahhh – it’ll get better. Hang in there momma.
& just remember, its actually building her immune system being around those germs. 🙂
That funny with the bag in the butt… I can see taking those extremes. I hate all the trips with bags.
backpack for sure…you’ll continue using it in the long run. also, LABEL EVERY THING. Mabel’s labels or Loveable Lables are the shiznit and they also have sales on a regular basis .
Oh mama, I know this week has been tough on you!! There was no doubt in my mind that Zoe’s teachers would love her. I always looked at it as stuffy noses now, means healthier immunity later!! Yes to lots of quality time on your pre-birthday weekend!!! xoxoxoxo
Sending you all the hugs sweet friend, the first week is definitely the hardest. And lol at dirty daycare babies, actually I’m not laughing because it’s soooo true. And I need that dip – holy deliciousness! Happy Friday gurlie <3
Aww I’m sure it was so hard to drop her off, but so nice knowing that her teachers are so caring and invested in taking care of her while you’re working. I like the backpack- it seems like something she could also easily use when she’s a little older.
oh poor Zoe. poor Nadine. Hope Zoe is able to nap properly soon and doesn’t get too sick from being at daycare. that’s good the teachers sound nice.
i think a backpack would be so adorable! i think kids with backpacks are freaking cute. of course she couldn’t carry it for a little while but still lol.
omg that guy with the grocery bags hahahahahaha
Feta crack dip? Sign me up!!
Lol I would probably do some sketchy stuff for coffee!
Oh man, your daycare sounds amazing. The people are all nice at ours but it’s chaotic and we don’t receive that kind of attention. Our daycares need to get some upgrades here. It’s nice to have people to listen. My coworkers all have kids, so they understand. I have been a wreck all week, except for yesterday because I knew I didn’t have to take her in today. And she has a bug today, too! Yuck daycare germs.
Congrats for making it through the first week of daycare. She really does look like a mini grown up sitting in that first picture! Those funnies had me laughing out loud…happy weekending!
You made it through the first week of daycare! Not without tears but glad to hear the ladies love Zoe and treat her well. How could you not with that sweet smile? Enjoy all the Zoe snuggles this weekend! xo Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
Was thinking about you all week! Hopefully she’ll get in a routine and start napping again. Poor baby – sounds like she did okay (aside from the napping part!). Sure it’s harder on momma! I need to find some healthier snacks, too. I can do good all week buy my diet goes to shit come Friday night – especially during football season. Hope this is a better week for you!
She does look so grown up! Sorry to hear that the week of daycare was tough, I’m sure you’ll get adjusted eventually! Hang in there! 🙂 LOLOLOL on all of those memes! 😛 XO – Alexandra

So sorry to hear that daycare has been rough. Hang in there, Mama! It will get better.
That is SO Jerry with the bags. He drives me nuts! And I love that the mom said the dog’s grad picture came out better than the real pic did HAHAHA!!
Hi new follower here! It sounds like you have a great daycare and that helps so much in making the transition. The illness does come with daycare but as they get older they get sick much less. When mine was a baby I just brought his diaper bag then when he turned about a year old I got him a back pack and it has worked out great. I think it was from Pottery Barn and I had his name put on it. Also, it can grow with her. Now my little one wants to actually wear it.
