Spring has arrived here in Alabama! It was 79 degrees and sunny when Laura and I walked to lunch yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous outside!! This is the weather I enjoy, before it gets too hot and humid and I start dreaming of winter again. You know, in May.
Favorite Moments: I had lunch with Laura twice this week! On Tuesday we went to Saigon in Avondale. We both had our minds on bahn mi, and it was delicious as usual! We can’t go there without ordering the spring rolls of course!!! And then, we ordered Thai boba tea to go. Man, that was the best ever! I cant quit thinking about it.
Laura texted me an Instagram picture of sake cocktails in a can Wednesday night and was all…..eat at iCantina for lunch tomorrow, then walk over to Hop City and pick these up? Twist my arm. twist. my. arm. We shared chips and salsa, ordered delicious tacos and enjoyed another beautiful day in Birmingham…and then picked up one of each flavor they had of this gluten free 88 calorie goodness in a can afterwards.
Zoe brings joy to my life every single day. Right now she is in a phase where she likes to say hi to people as they enter a room. I will leave the living room and then walk back into the room and she will say “hi” like she is greeting me for the first time. Her afternoon teachers say that she greets them every afternoon when they come in without fail. They hear it over all the other kids the moment she notices they walked in. So sweet!
When I dropped her off at daycare on Wednesday, she walked up to each of the three kids in her class individually to say hi to them before sitting down at her own desk. It was just the cutest thing ever. My little social butterfly.
Right now she likes to go behind the kitchen table and “hide” and then she starts laughing manically when I come “find” her.
Favorite Recipe: We keep this korean beef recipe in rotation pretty regularly at our house. This was from Monday night. It is so easy to swap things out to make it healthier or less carbs or whatever. Most times I serve it with stir fry veggies instead of rice. During whole 30 I subbed coconut aminos and dropped the brown sugar and added a few more spices.
Favorite Lust: With the warm weather comes the need to update my spring wardrobe. Last year I was still going through PP issues and didn’t have a lot to work with. I wore the crap out of the same 5-6 dresses for most of the spring/summer. Loft is one of my favorite go-tos for dresses. And sometimes Old Navy, though their quality can leave a bit to be desired. I have my eye on this short sleeve swing dress right now. Come on sale! Swing and shift dresses are my jam.

Linking up with Amanda, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hahaha YES to the shopping carts! I love that Zoe is so social with her friends. That’s so cute. The hiding behind the table & laughing cracked me up. Happy Friday!
Those drinks look so fun! I need something new to drink this weekend… may have to look for something similar. I love Old Navy swing dresses. I’ve had good luck with them but hate that I have to wear a slip under them. I guess that’s what I get for spending $10-$15 on clothes! LOL! Have a great weekend!
making that korean beef tonight!! it looks so good but i’m going to try it with ‘cauliflower rice’ lol
That forget what I’m doing Meme….soooo me! Oh precious Zoe, the “hi’s” just melt my heart and I bet everyone she says it to! Swing dress love, old navy does have 30% off today. Have a super duper weekend!
How stinkin’ cute is your girl. I wonder if she’ll get in that shy stage – it seems like they all do.
I need to check out Old Navy – I honetly have every swing dress they make so I always go back & see if they’ve updated their patterns 🙂 Or get some new black ones so they dont fade. It’s basically all I wear with lularoe leggings to work every day 🙂 Most comfortable work outfit ever!
Please, please, please send me some of your warm weather & delicious food up my way. Ha!
PS – I love Zoe’s lil games of Hide & Seek is adorable. 🙂
What a sweet little thing saying hi to everyone!! Ah so cute! I’m pretty jealous of the food you’re eating at lunch – mine aren’t nearly as delicious! Have a great weekend girl! xo, Biana
Aww I can only imagine how sweet Zoe saying hi and greeting everyone is! I’m sure it’s so fun seeing her learn to start talking more and more. I’m so ready to start wearing normal clothes again, though I think it will be a long time before I fit back into any of my pants, so I’m on the hunt for allll of the flowy dresses!
Omg, I love all the funnies. So true about kids repeating the ONE thing you don’t want them to! Omg, that’s so cute of Zoe – that she says “hi” so happily to everyone. I love that.
Sounds like you had a great week of lunches. I’m seeing a friend tonight for dinner and I’m excited. We’re seeing School of Rock afterwards, and it’s a musical I’ve wanted to see for a LONG time so *fingers crossed* it’s a good one.

That’s seriously the cutest that Zoe says hi to everybody individually! And all the little laughs have got to be the best too! This cocktails in a can sound amazing! And don’t you know that they’re be perfect for tailgating! I hope that you have a great weekend and hopefully the weather is nice!
So true with the kids saying shit when they won’t say anything else. Ha. My co-worker told me about the sake cocktails and I am dying to try them as well. I definitely need to find them. I want to try the Korean Beef Bowls. I hope you have a great weekend!
Those sake cocktails sound really interesting.
All those memes are me. Gosh, even the parenting ones. Haha.
But especially the cart one. My pride tells me I don’t need it but halfway through HomeGoods I drop all the shit I’m carrying and my pride is the first to bail on me. Ha.
Love the HI thing, so cute.
I like Old Navy swing dresses a lot but if I don’t get a tall they’re too short for work – and I’m not a tall person. LOL
Enjoy that beautiful weather! We were hoping for a nice weekend here but it looks like it might be a washout. That is so cute she says hi ever time like you’re just entering the room. Enjoy your weekend! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
Your funnies are always the best! Oh two lunches that wound amazing right there! I will have to look for this sake in a can. Have a great weekend!
Awe, cutest social butterfly! Yum, those lunches look delish! I just had lunch on the patio of this adorable downtown restaurant. 79 and sunny, I’ll take that weather all day everyday!
Oh yum those spring rolls are calling my name! Zoe is such a cute little girl..Glad the weather is warming up! http://www.martinisbikinisblog.com/2018/02/a-few-of-my-favorite-things.html
That is so cute that Zoe says Hi to everyone. I was walking the other day and a little girl who was next to me, reached out from her carriage to get my attention. She had been saying Hi to me but I had my headphones on. It was so funny and cute. Her dad was like she loves saying hi to people. SO cute.
