Favorite Moment: Girl’s night was much needed last night. We met up for Babalu for Cinco de Mayo because the day was meant to be celebrated with guac, am I right?! I couldn’t resist ordering the enchiladas of the day. Yes, they are sitting in jalapeno cheese sauce. You’re welcome.
Favorite Recipe: Now that we have a grill, I am ready to get to grilling some veggies and other fun things! And by me I mean Chris 🙂 How awesome does this look?!?!
Favorite Beauty Product: After trying many many foundations at Sephora, I stumbled upon the Stila Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector. I had actually really wanted to try the Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation and we found a color (fair) that was gorgeous on me….but the foundation was way too luminous and wasn’t soaking into my skin at all. I wasn’t too crazy to try a powder, as I was concerned about coverage. Right now my skin is a disaster and I need medium to full coverage. You guys…this stuff is pretty damn amazing and I am so impressed with how perfect the shade is for me and how much coverage this little compact delivers! The only thing I don’t love is the $39 price tag for less than an ounce of foundation. But I feel like a lot of foundations have gotten more expensive over the last year or so and what can you do when it is one of the only things that will work? I save money on drugstore mascara so its worth it to me! I really like that I can throw this in my purse and easily touch up throughout the day. I am still on the lookout for a new good liquid foundation, but I have found my holy grail powder.

I am terrible and don’t use any brushes. Just fingers lol. Except for foundation, for which I use my beauty blender. I just read that article about makeup and people have used hairspray to set their makeup??? Gross.

Mmmmm! Those enchiladas look freaking amazing! I also went out for Cinco and indulged in some majorly decadent queso. Yumyumyum. As for the brushes – try Real Techniques. They are weighted and feel very comfortable in your hand. That password meme is hitting home right now. I just tried to log in at work to do my time sheet. (I have to do it every two weeks.) I have to call IT every time because I never remember the password. You cant use a previous password so I cant use anything I would naturally think of because I have used it in the past. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I never order enchiladas because I usually don’t care for all the sauce that they’re usually in– but the ones you had look sooo good! Both of those brush sets are so pretty! Most of mine are RT or Sonia Kashuk- I’ve never thought to look at TJ Maxx, but that’s such a good idea (not that I need another excuse to go there).
Enchiladas don’t look like that in TX! They’re supposed to be slathered in chili gravy! But those do look good. I mean queso always wins! And the new JT song is really fun. I’ve already listened to it twice with more to follow!
JT — I really need him to lurve me. Grilling in the summer is the best!! I love just smelling everyone’s grills when they have them going. B puts asparagus on the grill, and it’s DEElicious.
That jalapeno cheese sauce sounds wonderful but I have been such a wimp lately with spicy foods, even mild salsa has almost been too hot for me, boo! I have definitely struggled with finding good liquid foundations! I do like the Tarte Water Foundation I got a few weeks back. I haven’t used it much because I haven’t really gone anywhere I really needed much makeup recently, but I like it so far. A lot of Youtubers like it too, I was bored and watched like 10 reviews haha. I love Real Techniques brushes, I almost bought some more last night at Ulta but I decided to be good since I didn’t really actually need any plus I was already buying Philosophy moisturizer but the Benefit Porefessionals primer and I was scared at how much $$ I was spending lol
YES to the Stila Putty Perfector! That was my go-to last summer and will be pulling it back out! I highly suggest the Target brushes. They’re good quality and so many options! Have a great weekend!

glad you were able to find something you like. sometimes it’s worth the price. i like real techniques for cheap face brushes. i don’t really like the knock offs, not worth it in the long run imo.
I approve of all these Nanny gifs. Despite the annoyance that is her voice, which didn’t hit me until much later in life, we used to watch The Nanny almost every night. I bet it would be more funny as an adult.
