Linking up with two more of my blogger turned real life friends Heather and Ashley for the Home Town Hop.
Now, I am going to be honest…I am a little torn on what to call my “hometown.” Is your hometown where you were born, where you lived the majority of your life so far, or where you call home now? I was born and raised in Pennsylvania (that’s right, true Yankee right here), moved to Missouri when I was in middle school, then moved to Georgia when I was in high school. I lived in Georgia the longest. Then I moved to Alabama two years ago, and this is now my “home.” So I am not sure which city to talk about. I don’t really consider Missouri my “home town,” or home at all. We lived there a few years, in two different houses in two different cities. That was a lot of moving around, and nothing really permanent. I always knew that we wouldn’t be staying for long. However, I do still keep up with two of my friends from there. Thank you Facebook!
With all that said…
Let me introduce you to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Greensburg is located about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. If you have ever visited or met several people from different northern states, you know that every major city has its own accent and own vocabulary. This holds true for Pennsylvania. You certainly can tell a difference from those on the Pittsburgh side vs those on the Philadelphia side! Go Steelers!

Pittsburgh looks beautiful! I’d love to visit sometime! And o.m.g. I am on this Philly Cheesesteak kick right now and would LOVE to try one of those at Johnny L’s! And feel free to talk about multiple cities you call home! I may do a piece on Atlanta sometime, that’s where I was born and my dad grew up there so it’s somewhat like home. And then also for Mississippi, I’m doing Starkville and Jackson! Feel free to mix it up! 🙂 Thanks for linking up with us!

Pittsburgh looks like an awesome place! I too, have lived in lots of places, but Corinth will be my home til I married and have kids. Thanks for sharing about your town.

Pretty houses. I think older houses have more personality.
I loved this! I’ve never seen houses that look that way in person ,since our Florida houses all look totally different. I think they’re gorgeous!
