Stealing Jana’s Three Things post because I absolutely LOVE these posts.
Three foods I hate and refuse to eat
1.Okra – stop trying to tell me I just haven’t had good okra. It is the nastiest texture ever and I have tried it fried and baked and every just way and just no. No no no no no. You can have your loogie balls.
2.Grits – See above. I have tried it sweet and savory and every which way and it is still gross.
3.Oysters – bleh
Three foods I love and eat more of than I should
1.chips and salsa
2.cookies
3. M&Ms
Three things chores I avoid until absolutely necessary
1.Ironing
2.Cleaning the shower
3.Cleaning the sink -Why does it get so gross so quickly? I freaking HATE cleaning out food particles and shit that collects in the drain catcher.
Three chores I always do
1.Laundry
2.Dishes -I cant freaking stand to see dishes in the sink or on the counter. It makes my skin itch.
3.Cleaning the floors
Three wardrobe staples
1.Leggings
2.Cardigans
3.Black -At least half my wardrobe is black.
Three things I don’t spend money on
1.Manicures
2.Expensive kid’s clothes (Have you met a kid? They are messy messy messy and I go through a stain spray bottle about once a week.)
3. Paying people to do my grocery shopping. I am picky and want to choose my own produce and check dates on things.
Three things I do spend money on
1. Skincare
2.Purses
3.Shampoo
Three TV shows I frequently watch in reruns
1.Big Bang Theory
2.How I Met Your Mother
3.Rules of Engagement
Three genres I generally don’t read
1.Horror
2.Sci-Fi
3.Most history
Three things I’m looking forward to this year
1.Seeing all the milestones Zoe will hit this year.
2.Our annual trips to the Beach and Gatlinburg.
3.All the new restaurants I will try.

I’m so laughing at how many things we have the same… Sisters haha
That chips & salsa one. Yeppppp
SOOOO LOVE THIS!! Hate.to.Iron! Where would we be without leggings? Hey you don’t like mushrooms either but those three must be worse! Lol. Gimmie all the cookies, M&M’s and now I want chips and salsa for dinner, lol.
Ironing is always last on my list. When I was stuck in the house for three days last week, I finally broke down and did it. I hear you on the raw oysters, they are just not my jam. I love chips and salsa too much.
Grits and oysters, no thanks. Although, I am ok with okra. I am the same way with kids clothes. They grow way too fast and are always getting something on them. They have a few cute dress shirts but other than that I am a sale shopper all the way. Sierra~Beautifully Candid
Girllll co-signed on expensive clothes for the kiddos! The Cat & Jack line at Target is my go-to, so many adorable pieces that are surprisingly good quality yet super affordable. And gimme all the chips and salsa <3
We are twins, I swear. I do like okra and LOVE grits, though! OMG. I’m actually wearing black leggings and a cardigan today. What do you know?
So with you on Oysters…no thank you! We do most of our grocery shopping online and I have to say the hour or so it gives me back to my weekend is just amazing! Oh and cleaning the shower – hate it! xo, biana –BlovedBoston
I love these type of posts too. I’m so jealous you’re going to Gatlinburg this year. I went when I was younger, but I really do want to go back…plus, it’s not too far from me! And seriously – kids don’t need expensive clothes. They will most likely get ruined or grow out of them super quick.

Oysters… I agree – UGH! So so gross.
I agree that I never pay for manicures but I do like a nice pedicure.
My husband lives on chips & salsa but give me all the guac please!
Agree on the book genres too although sometimes I try history because I think it sounds interesting but then am so bored halfway through – I do like historical fiction though!
I hate all seafood but oysters are so slimy and BLECH! With you, girl!
Leggings are my number one. I am wearing dress pants today and they feel so restrictive because I wear leggings 80% of the time – HA! They’re just so comfortable and versatile and you can dress them up or down!
Ha, I LOVE grits, and I LOVE raw oysters. But also please all the chips and salsa. So good. So with you on not buying expensive clothes for kids . What the hell is the point? They’re going to grow out of them quickly, OR they’ll just get destroyed.
I’m a fan of zero chores but adulting happens! Cleaning toilets and showers are the worst and I do not allow myself to iron anymore after too many burnt clothes incidents including a bridesmaid dress for a wedding the next day. Ooops.
This made me really want some M&Ms lol.
I am in fact eating chips and salsa as I read this… soooo did anyone figure out the answer to this problem?
WHO IRONS IN REAL LIFE?! I’ve not touched an iron sinceeeeeeee approximately 2009, during boot camp. I know we HAVE an iron. I do NOT know how it works. If someone wants to use it, it’s there for them, but I ain’t using it. NOPE NOPE NOPE.
OK, I love oysters. THEY ARE AMAZING.
I totally agree about not using those grocery services–I like the idea of it, but my OCD wouldn’t allow me to not be there to pick the fruit out myself. Nope.
I also HATE cleaning the tub/shower. I will clean my bathroom (sink, toilet, mirrors, floor) 3x a week, but when it comes to that area? Passsssssssss.
Chips and salsa are amazing! I will eat grits with sweet toppings, but I don’t eat oysters or okra, either. Vacuuming is probably my #1 least done chore…now that I live in an apartment with tiled floors, that makes sense, but even before, vacuuming was the one household chore that Angel definitely had to do!
Oh i love these posts! I love chips and salsa and maybe I love them a bit too much. I hate ironing and don’t even own one. Wrinkle release spray is my jam!! haha. It totally upsets my Mother that I don’t even own an iron. The woman LOVES to iron!! She goes crazy when I see me in a wrinkled top. It’s hilarious! haha
Oysters are disgusting.
I don’t iron. Ever. If something has to be ironed, I don’t buy it.
I love this post! And you’re SO right about the chips and salsa! I’m gonna have to steal this from you 😉
Ugh. I am the worst house keeper. I feel like I clean… maybe once a month. I’m trying to be more “on it”. I do things that CLEARLY need done. And I am good at keeping the kitchen things cleaned up (we share a kitchen right now with KC’s parents!) … but some other things I don’t think about as often as I should. LOL. I really need to do a cleaning schedule, even if I only do it every other week or something. 🙂 I can relate on manicures and kiddo clothes for sure!! I can’t get into grits, though they aren’t as much of a thing up here. Fried okra doesn’t bother me, but I am not in a hurry to try pickled, etc. I’ve had it in gumbo and it’s been fine. 😉 I can see it not being a favorite for many though! XO – Alexandra
Simply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
I don’t iron, period.
I’ve never tried okra. I love vegetables and I really want to, but I’ve never ordered it or bought it at the store. Lol
It sounds like all of us do laundry all the time. Hahaha. I avoid cleaning the showers/tub, too. It’s such a freaking hassle!
Chips and salsa, forever and ever amen.
I looove okra just about any which way, but my husband refuses to eat it. I feel like I’m always dusting and it’s definitely one of my least favorite household things to do. So much to look forward to this year!
I hate ironing so much that I asked for (and received- yay!) a steamer so I can just hang and steam the wrinkles away. Also, I learned that my coworker cleans his floors daily. I’m lucky if I do mine weekly!
Ok I love grits but hate oysters… gross. And I don’t do manicures either, there is other stuff I would rather have like wine and cheese.
I totally eat way too much chips and salsa too, but I mean it is it’s own food group, right? And hooray for trying out new restaurants and seeing how Zoe grows up! You always seem to find the best restaurants with fantastic food and the girls are almost 3 months old and I’m just over here wondering where the time has gone!
