Go ahead and mark the last weekend of June in the books, as crazy as that sounds. This weekend was busy busy busy so let’s just jump in, shall we?
Friday afternoon started off with a really strong storm knocking our power out in the neighborhood. The downed trees didn’t help. I am glad Chris left work when he did, he had to go in the back way because this is what the front entrance looked like….
Shortly after he came in the back, some more trees fell blocking that way too! I am just thankful everything is well with us and our house. It did suck pretty bad to be without power for about 6-7 hours with a baby, but honestly…we made the best of it. We had lots of playtime and Zoe took a nap for at least 2 of those hours.
Saturday morning was gross, but by the afternoon the rain had cleared out. We headed over to Chuy’s to grab some lunch. First time we have been in probably a year? Crazy how long it has been. The food was delicious, but the service left much to be desired.
Zoe was less than amused when I sat her in the car seat so I could eat. I cant blame her, it was delicious!
We headed to Bargain Hunt after and scooped up some amazing deals on stuff for Zoe!
She likes to check out her clothes when we get home, just like I do! I think it is safe to say the sit to stand toy was a hit, look at those eyes!!!
And can we talk about how adorable the back of her romper is? STOP IT!
Sunday morning, my sister, Zoe and I took my Dad to Cracker Barrel for breakfast for Father’s Day. It is sort of a tradition that we started a few years ago. There is no denying that Chris is Zoe’s father….but those eyes….those are Brownfield Blues for sure!
Zoe and I did some grocery shopping after breakfast, and when we came back she took a nap while I tackled the front and side yard cutting. I still need to do the back, thanks to the rain. Ugh. Sunday evening heated up some food from Saturday night and settled in for a few episodes of Bosch. It was a fabulous weekend that ended too soon.
Linking up with Biana. I hope you all have a great week!

baby clothes are way cuter than adult clothes – that’s a fact LOL!! I’m glad to hear that you all were safe and well during the storms and that zoe survived the power outage 🙂 xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Ha ha, I love the Zoe checks out her clothes, she is her mother’s daughter tried and true! I love the back of her sweet little romper! I am so glad you survived the crazy storms and everything turned out OK. I hope you have a great start to your week!
I wish they made our clothes that cute! Glad you guys are safe and had a good weekend. It definitely went by too fast.
So so glad you guys were all okay during the weather! I don’t know how you handle all of the cute baby clothes– I mean those ruffles!
Glad you guys are safe. Looks scary! Your daughters romper is the cutest thing ever!!
I’m glad that everything is ok with your house after all the downed trees and stuff because of the storms! That’s definitely the worst part about the storms, and the no power sucks too! We lost power a couple of weeks ago because somebody ran into a pole, but at least we were able to go outside. You definitely can’t do that if it’s storming outside! And yes to Chuy’s! It’s always a good idea!
Zoe with her grandpa is so cute! I’m glad that y’all were ok in the storm!! That road is insane!
That romper though! So cute! What is up with places not having good service lately? I get that most people in these restaurants are just working part-time and they probably don’t take their job too seriously, but some simple manners would be much appreciated lol.
I hate bad service…. but we eat at Chuy’s at LEAST once a week. A lot of take out too. Delicious.
I never tire of Zoe’s beautiful eyes.
Baby Zoe is going to be very pretty when she grows up!

Chuy’s!!! YUMMMM. I love that Zoe girl got the blues — she is just so pretty. And I love that sit to stand walker – Sheffield absolutely loved that thing. Glad that everything was ok with the trees coming down and the power outage – last week was super scary weather-wise.
You know, I’ve never been to Chuy’s! I need to see if there’s one near me…
Sorry you guys lost power for awhile– that is brutal with a little one, for sure! I’m glad you guys and your house are all okay though! You have me craving Chuy’s now- I have not been in well over a year, too!!
I love that Hello Kitty Halloween tee! I’m glad the storms didn’t affect you guys too terribly! That’d be awfully scary! Sounds like a decent weekend overall!
So glad you guys stayed safe in those storms, how scary! And yummmmm to Chuys! Zoe will understand soon as the delicacy switches from chewing on Sophie to the good stuff <3
Oh my gosh, HOLD UP! Is that a Hello Kitty HALLOWEEN outfit?! I can’t even take it. I love Hello Kitty and I legit live for Halloween… my favorite day of the year. That is amazing.
Oh my goodness, so glad you all and your home is ok! We have had some crazy weather here too. That romper is precious!
baby/kid clothes are SO CUTE! we’ve been having crazy weather here as well – thunder storms and hail and raining like crazy. I half expected Noah’s ark to float by.
We have that same walker! Ellie was scared of the sound at first but now she is all over it. She hasn’t started walking with it but she stands and pulls up all over it. That food looks sooo good and now I’m thinking I should get some Mexican food this weekend. Zoe looks like she’s into everything!
So glad to hear you guys were safe in the tornado even though there were some trees fallen. Love sweet cheeks outfit and the criss cross back. Her face is too adorable!
I heard about the storms down there and thought about you guys! Wow!! That food does look delicious, bummer about the service though. That’s always something that can make a big impact on your evening/how you feel about a restaurant. : / Zoe’s face there is cracking me up!!! 😛 Glad you had a good weekend! XO – Alexandra
