I have done seasonal goals for a few years and they used to work out great. Then I shit all over my winter goals last year and decided to give myself a break for spring and summer. There are so many things I want to do between now and December 2nd (DUE DATE!!!!), so I thought the best way to get these goals accomplished was to create a list. We all like lists, right?
I used to break my goals in to categories: Body, Mind, Home, Food. I love focusing on all aspects of my life. Things are going to look a little different for my fall list because my body is no longer my own for the next few months. I am basically just an incubator to grow a healthy baby. Other than continuing moving around the best that I can and getting in my daily work outs, I don’t really have a goal. I will go back to my old format come winter. Probably.
Fall Things
- Make a pie from scratch.
- Watch Hocus Pocus.
- Set up fall decorations.
- Drink apple cider.
- Bake pumpkin cookies.
Baby Goals
- Paint nursery.
- Purchase dresser, glider, ottoman, cube shelf and other items still needed for nursery.
- Decorate nursery.
- Wash all clothes, towels and bedding after baby shower.
- Install car seat.
- Pack hospital bag.
- Clear a cabinet or space in kitchen for bottles.
- Pre-register at hospital.
- Complete DIY project for nursery.
- Find curtains/window treatment for nursery.
Home Goals
- Clear out remaining clutter from spare room and set up defined office area for myself.
- Clean out garage and get rid/donate items no longer needed.
- Reorganize kitchen pantry.
- Reorganize kitchen cabinets.
- Use wood cleaner to scrub all cabinets.
- Clean out drawers in master bathroom.
- Organize guest bathroom cabinets for baby items.
- Organize hall linen closet.
- Replace light bulbs in garage and front entrance.
- Find new location for iron/ironing board.
What do you want to accomplish this fall?
Linking up with Joey because Stuff and Things is back! And maybe Steph for season goals? I think that is this week? This is why I need a planner.

Good God that’s a big list! I need to clean/ reorganize the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms. And all of the closets. But I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting that done any time soon!
I so badly need to have a garage sale and get my storage unit cleaned out before it gets cold! That’s my main goal this fall. It’s costing us $200/month to have this unit. Definitely an unnecessary expense we need to cut out.
I am so excited for fall!! I can’t wait to watch Hocus Pocus numerous of times!
Seasonal goals with Steph next Friday 🙂 I have my post ready for that one, surprisingly! Love your fall goals, they make me so happy. October = all Hocus Pocus, all the time! And of course all the cleaning and organizing makes me smile too. Good luck!
I cant believe how close your due date is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah… Hocus Pocus is a MUST for the FALL> I think I watch it at least 10 times… my mom calls me EVERY TIME its on TV to remind me to watch.
Ahhhhh packing your hospital bag!! That made it seem so real for me when I did!! And hecks yeah to Hocus Pocus!! Can’t wait to watch that with something apple cidery!!
Hocus Pocus! I must make Greg watch this with me! Also pie sounds delicious. I’ve been wanting a strawberry pie for ages, but honestly any kind of pie, I would love. I’ve got my hospital bag halfway packed. I don’t know how I’ll fit everything I want to bring in there. I’m working on a DIY project for future nursery right now! Already dreaming of what kind of nursery she’ll have if we move in time for her to have one. Love your goals, I would have to think about what mine are. They’re a little scattered since I haven’t been sticking to my planner.
Good luck with all of your goals! I love Hocus Pocus. Who doesn’t right??
Girrrrrrrl you know I love organizing goals. I have to get some of those on my list.
Seasonal Goals is 9/16, link this baby up then!
NONONONO!!! Don’t wash the clothes!!! I mean, wash a few that are not newborn size so she’s not naked but the rest, wait until she’s here because you don’t know how big she’s going to be and if you leave the tags on, you can return or exchange. Erica was over 8 pounds and 21 inches, which is 0-3 month size and would not have fit into the newborn sizes. Had we washed them, we would have been stuck with things she couldn’t wear.
Making a pie is my favorite thing to do – especially after apple picking! Loving all those baby goals!! xo, biana –BlovedBoston
Watch Hocus Pocus is always at the top of my fall to-do list. I love that movie! I can’t wait to see more posts on all your baby progress!
confession: i’ve never watched hocus pocus.
i had to cut apple cider out of my life because stupid weight loss program *insert weeping here*
These are great goals! Lots to do before the baby arrives, but how exciting!
YES to Hocus Pocus, I haven’t seen that movie in years!

Yesss to all the fall things minus the pumpkin cookies because I love all things fall except pumpkin, haha. You have so many things to accomplish and having a list will definitely help keep you on track I’m sure!
I like that you have things like “replace light bulb” and “clean out cabinets” because I totally put smaller things that might only take me 20 minutes on season to-do lists because if I don’t I’d NEVER do them.
Speaking of which… I should look over my summer goals. Oops.
Great goal list here! Obviously Hocus Pocus has to be on it 😉 Good luck getting it all done and wrapping up all the baby projects before she arrives!
My sister makes pumpkin chocolate chip cookies every year. I’m not a fan of pumpkin flavor but they are a HIT with everyone else!
Wood cleaner to clean your cabinets? Why did this never occur to me? Our cabinets are so dingy but I never clean them… may need to make it a goal of mine, too! I am too intimidated to make a pie from scratch! I’m the worst baker ever, which is probably a good thing! Baby girl will be here before you know it! i can’t wait to see what you do with her nursery.
What kind of pie do you think you might make? We have been loving frozen chicken or beef pot pies lately (I know they are not really a fall thing, specifically) and I want to try making one from scratch.
I love setting seasonal goals! I do them in the form of bucket lists over on my blog!
That’s quite the list. I will gladly come join you for a good chunk of them. 🙂
Have a great weekend, Nadine!
Girl, you better get a move on . . . you got lots of shit to do! I love the watch Hocus Pocus one . . . we have that movie and I still have never seen it! That’s my one fall goal. That’s it – just watch that! LOL!
oh man i shit the bed all over all of my goals. i think i need to split them up like you do. except without the baby category of course. can’t believe you’re having a baby soon!
