Nothing like a good old Currently post to get caught up with you guys and link up with Kristen and Gretch!
Reading: Forever, Interrupted. My love for TJR is big you guys! This story jumps back and forth between current and past. The premise is that the main character falls in love quickly and gets married….and her husband dies just 9 days after their wedding. She meets her MIL at the hospital for the first time and has to work with her on arrangements. So you have that going on, and then you get the back story on their love story. I am about half way in and am loving it!
Watching: The Good Fight and Jane the Virgin. I really loved The Good Wife so I knew that we would be checking out The Good Fight when it started and it does not disappoint!
I am blowing throw binges on Netflix during Zoe’s feedings. I watched the entire Gilmore Girls Series, then Last Man Standing and now I am on to Jane the Virgin. I am going to tell you that I was very skeptical about Jane the Virgin and had super low expectations. It is nothing like I thought it was going to be and I am loving it!!! Give it a try if you are on the fence. The narrator sort of gets on my nerves, but at least he keeps me up to speed on what is going on because this is one of those shows you have to be paying attention to at all times.
Listening: The new Beauty and the Beast song! Swoon!
Working:I have a lot of things in the works with some side hustle stuff and my biggest project right now is getting our spare room cleaned up. I have been working on this room forever!!! This past weekend we went and got some storage containers to get rid of all the stuff that got dropped in here without a home. This weekend I would like to get some type of shelving for all my books, and then I think I will finally be done and be able to organize and have it not looking a hot mess!
Fitness:Really trying to get my life together enough to get in regular workouts!!!I think I can do these on the floor in Zoe’s room to keep her entertained while she is doing mat time. Even my full time working mom self has five minutes! I need to stop making excuses and just do it.
Cooking: I am thinking about making something like this for breakfast next week. I need something that is already made and I can just heat up real quick while waiting for Zoe’s bottle to warm. Otherwise I end up snacking a lot whenever I have a minute waiting for a bottle to warm up or sneaking something while Zoe naps and never really get a real meal until dinner and that is so not good. Lots of empty, forgotten calories.
or these! Definitely these…
Lusting:These block heel mules are so fabulous!
This shelf with the glass door would be so fun in my office!

I keep intending to read TJR. Haven’t done it yet.
I always see those exercises (like the one you posted) and think to myself “I should do those while I watch tv”, but I don’t really watch much tv. haha!
When Jane the Virgin first started I thought it looked dumb. I didn’t start watching until last year, and now I love it! Some storylines work better than others, but it’s a seeet show. I think I’m going to start The Good Wife – everyone says it’s great!
Those flourless apple things look awesome — and I had no idea that the good wife had a spin-off?!? Where have I been? Must hop on that asap!!
Unpopular opinion: I didn’t like the good wife at all 🙁 Tried to get into it but couldn’t!!
however, I LOVE that glass door shelf unit! the colour is amazing as is the look of it.
I LOVE that shelf. It would fit right in with the colors in my home. Yup, I need it. Asap. Love the breakfast ideas, btw.
I love that glass door shelf unit! I have been thinking of getting one for myself. It would be to display my handbags. haha how dumb i know but I thought it would sort of look cute!! Thanks for sharing those blondies!! I so need to try them, they look great.
I love the narrator on Jane the Virgin – he makes me laugh 🙂 & have you seen him? looks NOTHING like I thought he would.
I cant believe I’ve never read anything by that author. I need to go to Amazon & load up & get to work on that.
Did you post that B&tB video for me? I know you did – thanks 😉 haha
Oh man apple pie blondies, those look amazing. Need. I love the taquitos idea too. I make John a version of that but inside and English muffin instead of the tortillas. I think the tortillas would be a nice little change!
Huh. I hadn’t heard of The Good Fight. K LOVES Last Man Standing. Tim Allen is awfully conservative in the show, but I also think there are little digs at both sides which makes it funny and witty. Lol
Omg, the “pooch.” I have resigned myself to it because my mom still has a belly from her pregnancies, but maybe it’s a bit early to give up on getting rid of it. I’m only 5 pounds up from my previous weight, but my body looks quite a bit different! Hello stretch marks and weird squishy belly.
i enjoyed Forever, Interrupted, but not as much as the other TJR books. I read it first though. i watched a few episodes of jane the virgin, i am sure i’ll get back to it one day. that shelf unit with the glass door is gorgeous! love it. super pretty!
Thank you for posting that song! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite, I cannot wait to see the new movie!
I didn’t know it until now but OMG I need those black shoes. They’re gorgeous!
Forever, Interrupted sounds really sad! I haven’t read one of her books, yet. I love Jane the Virgin. I watched it when Ellie was super tiny. I haven’t caught up since, though. If you do any workouts at all, I am impressed. I get maybe one run a week and that’s about it. Yumm those blondies look good.
Ooooh if I replaced the sausage with bacon, I would eat the heck outta those taquitos!
I am SO excited for the Beauty & the Beast movie! Eeek! Thanks for posting the song. John Legend is amazing, he really is.
I’ve never watched Jane the Virgin but maybe after I’m done with the Marvel Universe shows, I may have to check it out…
Ariana and John together on a song!? What a dream come true..got to listen to that song now! I love The Good Wife (still working my way through it) and I was curious about The Good Fight.
Thanks for linking up with us!
I haven’t heard the new beauty and the best song and now I must go listen. That’s my problem too, just find the time and do it. I get way too comfortable once the kids go to bed. I’ve been trying to work out when they’re up but that usually results in them tackling me lol. I love that shelf! Beautifully Candid
I am SO excited for the new Beauty and the Beast! I love that quote at the top of your post. I liked Jane the Virgin too! It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Jane was perfect for that role!
I am a huge TJR fan!! Forever Interupted was my least favourite of hers, but it was still good. Her new book is on Netgalley, FYI! I was declined for it (sob) but you should request it! I know Jana got it 🙂
I love the new Beauty and the Beast song – I am SO excited for the movie.
That shelf is gorgeous! I’m sure you will feel so much better when that room is organized. The working out is hard when your baby is little but baby steps!!
We make a lot of breakfasts ahead of time: breakfast burritos, egg muffins, 2 ingredient pancakes to re-heat…it really saves my life in the mornings!!!
What did you think of Last Man Standing? We like that one!
I couldn’t agree more about Jane! I did NOT think it was something I’d like but gave it a try anyway and was so pleasantly surprised– I love Gina Rodriguez! I’ve started using it as my show to watch during cardio at the gym because it’s the perfect length and at home I’d end up missing things if I tried to multitask or walk away from the TV for a minute or two. Those breakfast tacos look sooo good & I LOVE the quote at the beginning of this post!
Ohh the Good Wife is soo good! I also need to lose the pouch. Maybe I will actually follow one of these workouts. They look so easy and then bam! You hurt EVERYWHERE after doing them. LOL
